Cristina Foods sponsored a field trip for about 100 Chicago Public Schools’ Culinary and Agricultural students, as well as faculty, to one of their apple growing partner’s orchard in Michigan. The groups were from Chicago Vocational Career Academy and Marshall Metro HS. We want to give special thanks to those who participated (CPS-Culinary & Ag Programs, Aramark, Healthy Schools Campaign, Farmlogix), and the folks who helped coordinate the trip (CPS, Aramark, Riveridge Produce), and of course our gracious host and owner of the orchard, Trever Meachum… The trip was very insightful and fulfilling!!!
